I have tried to check in with air canada and luftansa and they will not let me Lufthansa is saying to check in with air canada but I cannot do it and also want to know if baggage is included in my flight Lh6695
LUFTHANSA HAS FAILED ME IN THE SERVICE CATEGORY.
I CALLED IN JAN OR FEB OF 2018 AND WAS KEPT ON THE PHONE FOR ABOUT TWO HOURS. AT WHICH TIME I HUNG UP.
WHY ???
I AM 86 YEARS OLD AND MY CELL PHONE WAS GOING DEAD.
THE AGENT DID NOT CALL ME BACK BUT SENT AN EMAIL WITH A SCHEDULE SHOWING A RETURN ON 18 SEPT.
THE 18 SEPT WAS NOT TO MY LIKING, SO I LET IT BE, BELIEVING I COULD REMEDY IT IN EUROPE A LOT EASIER.
WHEN I ARRIVED IN EUROPE I TOOK THE FIRST OPPORTUNITY I HAD TO CONTACT LUFTHANSA.
TO MY SURPRISE, LUFTHANSA DID NOT HAVE A DIRECT PHONE LINE , THOUGH THEY HAD A COUNTER AT THE AIRPORT.
FORTUNATELY, THE SERVICE REP OF AUSTRIAN AIRLINES CONNECTED ME WITH LUFTHANSA.
AFTER MUCH DISCUSSION AND ANOTHER TWO HOURS HOLDING ON THE PHONE,I WAS ABLE TO SECURE A DEPARTURE DATE AND TOLD THAT THERE WOULD BE NO CHARGE TO ME FOR THE CHANGE. MY DEPT. DATE WAS NOW AUG. 29,2018.
I WENT TO THE COUNTER AT THE AIRPORT ON AUG29, AT WHICH TIME I WAS TOLD THERE WOULD BE A CHARGE OF e879. THIS WAS A COMPLETE SURPRISE TO ME AND AFTER ANOTHER PHONE CALL FROM THE AIRPORT I STILL HAD TO PAY THE e879. WHICH I PAID, AS THE PLANE WAS LEAVING IN JUST A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME WITH THE ASSURANCES THAT I WOULD GET A REFUND.

I will comment on the lufthansa customer service. The staff provided exceptional service. I travel with my children a lot and at all times they address my kids by their names. The kids meal were prompt with a good variety of choice. During the flight the staffs always provided light refreshment and drinks and when called they immediately attended. thanks
I was so very impressed with this airline, Lufthansa, from the moment I checked in, the flight itself, the landing, the luggage area and all the staff. I have flown some of the cheaper carriers and there is such a huge difference between them in regard to Lufthansa customer service. The flights were on time, boarding process was excellent and all staff seemed to care about you as a guest of theirs. I’ll be choosing them again and again over any other airline.
