My client committed suicide after being on hold for days without ever talking to a human at Marcus so she could not liquidate her CD’s. Now I have the same problem while trying to find out where to send the death certificate!

This is a comment on Marcus by Goldman Sachs. I like Marcus’s high yields on Savings and CDs but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. You are run through an automated system and when I got a live person it was someone with a strong Indian accent that was at times hard to understand.

I have been working with the Personal loan dept. for 2 weeks attempting to get information so I can pay off a loan. They have told me for 2 weeks a letter was mailed with the info. Today a Mr.Farzin (manager loan dept) informs me NO letter was mailed. Now I am about to lose my rate lock on my refinance because of their failure to follow through. I am told they will not email the letter, which is absolutely nuts.
